southern half of England and the southern half of Wales.
Montgomeryshire Status
Recorded from a single site at Commins Coch in the west of the county.
This nationally scarce species turns up in very small numbers every year at the same
site. Presumably there is a small breeding population
there. The foodplant is present. An excellent record for the county.

Lifestage data
Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva rolls down the margins of a
leaf binding them with silk. Pupates in a cocoon in a hollow dry stem. |
